Tutoring Referrals
Referrals to community based organizations that offer tutoring is provided to participants that need the assistance in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
College Trips
Participants of this program have the opportunity to visit local community college, California State Universities (CSU), Universities of California (UC) & Private Universities, and take part in campus tours. Some overnight stays may be required for campuses located in Northern California.
Career Advancement Academy (CAA) Program
The Career Advancement Academy will train students in both job readiness and the classroom skills needed to pursue a career in the health industry. By choosing a career in the health care, you are choosing one of the fastest growing occupations in the country. The demand for health care professionals is greater that ever before and in the coming years, the demand will be even greater.

Financial Aid Workshops
Program participants receive one-on-one assistance completing financial aid applications online. They will create an Electronic Signatures PIN for financial aid purposes and be given assistance in applying for various grants to supplement their education. Workshops take place from November through February.
College Application Workshops
Participants will learn how to complete a college applications completely & accurately. Those who would like to attend a University of California (UC) and Private University will learn how to write the required personal statements/essays. Workshops take place during the months of September through January.
Education Guidance
Participants will receive individual guidance on their educational goal whether it’s obtaining a GED/High School Diploma or vocational training. They will also learn how to select community college classes to prepare them for short-term careers or to completing the transfer requirements for attending university.
Supportive Services
Some participants will be eligible for reimbursement of school supplies. Those participants who do receive book reimbursements are required to turn them in at the end of the semester. Participant may also receive a bus pass on a case by case basis for educational purposes. Clothes and other supportive services are also available.
