Los Angeles Community College provides a 36-hour work readiness class where youth get the tools needed to prepare them for employment. Class is offered once a month.

Learn & Earn
This program is offered in the summer in collaboration with Los Angeles Unified School District. High school students that have not passed the California High School Exit Exam are given the opportunity to do four hours of work experience and four hours of CAHSEE prep and get paid for it. The program is 5-weeks long with the opportunity for participant to earn up to $800.00 dollars.
Internships (Subsidized)
This program provides its participants with year-round subsidized employment opportunities. Subsidized internships are incentive-based arrangements given to youth for their active participation in specific programs. Participants are selected on a case-by-case basis by their case manager.
Community Development Department
Youth Employment Services specifically designed to help the young people of Los Angeles by providing career and educational services. Other services include: employment/work readiness, career exploration and guidance, occupational skills training, tutoring/computer training, college preparation/leadership, counseling/mentoring and alternative high school services.
