CAHSEE Prep
Are you just a few points away from passing the CAHSEE Exam? Maybe you’re in the 10th or 11th grade and preparing to take the CAHSEE exam for the first time. Well here at the LAYOM Watts Site, we offer online CAHSEE Prep that can help you focus on the exact areas you need to PASS. Classes are offered every Tuesday from 10-12pm in our upgraded computer lab.

YO! High School
Youth Opportunity High is a charter high school operated through L.A. Conservation Corps. The non-traditional learning environment aims to provide students (who range in age from 14 to 18), with a learning experience that combines academics and arts without generic "box" learning opportunities. YO! High has a proven success rate for non-traditional learners. The campus also offers supportive case management services, including life skills and transitions classes to set college and career goals. Computer Literacy Workshops
Do you feel out of date with your knowledge of computers? Have questions but don’t know whom to ask? Want assistance learning to navigate the Internet? We have the answer…LAYOM- Watts now proudly offers Computer Literacy classes and the best thing is, it’s open to the public so anyone can attend. Students, youth, adults, seniors all are welcome. Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30-11:00am.

Drivers Education
Are you tired of riding the bus? You can get your driver’s permit in 4 weeks!! Classes are offered at the YO! Watts center Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm. To complete you must also attend one Saturday class from 9:00-3pm. You must call to sign-up for this great opportunity as classes fill up fast!!

GED Testing
Interested in obtaining your GED? Can’t afford the $150.00 fee to take the test? Watts can help! For students who enroll in GED Prep and attend tutoring we offer GED testing two times a month at Long Beach Community College. Students can choose between taking the entire test in one day or breaking it up into two sessions. We will pay the registration fees for you and even provide transportation to and from the testing site. Stop sitting at home wishing you had obtained your high school diploma and enroll today, a great JOB awaits you!!

Free Cash For College Scholarship Students who attend the scheduled financial aid workshop here at the center are entered into a random drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship to assist with tuition, books and fees.

Kisa R. Hughes Memorial Fund
Kisa Hughes a former staff member whose sole passion was education, chose to leave in her memory a scholarship fund. YO!Watts along with the Hughes family will annually award scholarships to selected youth through a competitive scholarship process. Through this effort we hope to continue Kisa's legacy and passion for education for many years to come.
Neighborhood Youth Achievers Scholarship Neighborhood Youth Achievers seeks to identify high school and first year college students who exemplify excellence in education and extra curricular activities. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7; a total score of 900 or better on the SAT, or an equivalent score on the ACT; must have exhibited leadership ability and participate in community service activities.
