LAYOM, in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Probation Department, works to assist young people with their successful transition from juvenile offenders to skilled members of the workforce as a part of the Students for Higher Education Program (SFHE). All enrolled students have full access to the variety of programs offered by LAYOM in addition to specific direct services unique to this population. Some programs may vary depending on enrollment location
Industry Specific Training
Through our partnership with Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) all members of the Youthful Offender Program have the opportunity to enroll into industry specific training. You can choose between Automotive, Culinary Arts, Solar Panel Installation, Construction and many more. Find a career you love and with great starting pay!!

Internships
Upon exiting from Camp all students who complete Job Readiness Training will be eligible to receive a 40 hour PAID internship. Students can earn up to $800 along with gaining viable experience in the workplace and great references for your resume. To be considered for these internships youth must complete Job Readiness Training.

Parent Education & Family Counseling
Parents play an important role in the continued success of our SHFE students. Parents will be required to attend weekly parent conferences to receive education on early signs of gang and drug involvement, along with counseling on how to effectively assist their child in succeeding academically.

We understand that our young people have many different needs when it comes to achieving your goals. Enrolled students who qualify can take advantage of the many supportive services we offer from transportation assistance, tuition support, course training supplies, and business attire. specific services vary from site to site
